Nelson’s Film organizes recurring, accessible film screenings in neighborhoods where intercultural encounters do not always happen naturally. Professionally organized and locally supported, we bring residents together to experience the same film in their own language. In this way, lasting connections grow step-by-step in an ever-changing neighborhood.
Through multilingual films as a connecting force, we offer a positive counterbalance in an increasingly polarized society.
How it started
Nelsons Film began with two sheets on a fence and the simple desire to truly connect neighbors with one another. Because the unknown often remains unloved, we use the power of film and multilingualism to remove the barriers between cultures. We believe that lasting connection requires professional expertise and continuity, ensuring a neighborhood initiative doesnt burn out but actually flourishes.
In the film world, the best direction is the direction you dont see, and that is exactly our role: we handle the technology, rights, and organization behind the scenes. In this way, we turn film nights into a valuable tradition where the neighborhood and its local stars play the leading role every single month.
